3-23-23: The Case of Jonathan Miller

Welcome to the official update blog for the 7th Grade Chat.

Our first update comes with a bit of drama.

If you were in the chat during late January through February, you may be familiar with the name Jonathan Miller, who went by his online alias, Percy Jackson. It has been recently revealed that Jonathan was an alt created by a user of the chat. Using a network of alternate accounts, said user was able to fake the suicide of Jonathan. This caused an uproar.

Before the full truth came out, there had been the release of a false document by a Dr. J. Hawthorne. Upon further research, the credentials provided in the document were phony. This brought on a revelation: Someone inside the chat had been fooling us all.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that two primary users of the chat had come up with this elaborate scheme.

There was much controversy.

As a close acquaintance of the two users, I was first-hand viewing their reactions to the whole thing.

They showed no signs of regret, and as a matter of fact, did not seem to recognize what they had caused.

More updates coming soon.
